Marie New is originally from Juneau and has traveled the world with dance!

Cori Jo Swanson is based in New York and Janelle Jaehn is based in Las Vegas. Between the two of them, they regularly teach and judge for the following competitions: Sheer Talent, StarQuest, KAR, Rainbow, Showbiz, Primetime, & Edge.

Maire New

A Juneau native, Máire New is the first Alaskan graduate of Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet Academy. New has danced professionally with the Russian State Ballet and the City Ballet of Boston, and choreographed several pieces for the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and Youth America Grand Prix. She has trained extensively in the Vaganova method of Russian Classical Ballet, as well as character/historical dance, and acting. She invites everyone, no matter their age/ability, to come learn and grow together!

Cori Jo Swanson

Cori Jo Swanson committed to extensive training in Chicago at a young age. She began to focus on Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Her first televised appearance came to her during her teenage years. She was chosen to be a guest performer on MTV's "MADE". Continuing on, Cori Jo was a part of the opening acts for artists such as: Tyrese, Chingy, Chamillionaire, Soulja Boy & Lupe Fiasco.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines became home for Cori Jo in 2009. Cori Jo sailed with Royal Caribbean as a dancer for two and a half years. She occasionally goes back onboard RCCL as a stylist for their theater installs and assists auditions in NYC.

Cori Jo has been judging dance competitions for 6 years with the ability to relate to both the performers and choreographers. She educates dancers on performance and technique while uniquely encouraging them to "think outside the box". Now in NYC, Cori Jo has produced two shows at The Producers Club ("From Zig Zags to Polka Dots" & "Hide & Seek and The Ghost Composer"). Cori Jo teaches for several NY studios and travels throughout the states setting choreography. You can catch her in the film "Landing Up" that premiered in 2016! She is represented by DDO Artists Agency, a world-wide performer providing energy, charisma, and passion to every form of work she encounters!

Janelle Jaehn

Janelle Jaehn is a captivating artist from fabulous Las Vegas, NV. Sharing her knowledge in the art of dance through educating, performing, and creating for over 20 years. Janelle advanced under the elite training of legendary dance names such as, Stacey Tookey, Peter Chu, and Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo (NappyTabs). After Janelle's early years of performing and competing award winning choreography, she began to build her own professional career assisting and collaborating with these and other extraordinary professionals. Her exceptional background landed her performing work all along the famous Las Vegas strip and its incredible venues, as well as extraordinary opportunities to direct and choreograph for the dance community there. Janelle is also heavily involved in the judging world, judging everything from auditions to pageants and competitions. She was even featured on the hit TV show Dance Mom's. Not yet finished pushing her own limits, Janelle began writing curriculum for studios and training dance instructors in her own cutting edge teaching methods. Working alongside the school district in Las Vegas, Janelle strives to expand dance education in the local schools there. Outside of conventional dance education Janelle teaches for nonprofit organizations such as R.A.G.E. to give the gift of dance to underprivileged and at risk youth. Janelle has proudly sent her students of all backgrounds to opportunities such as Cirque De Soleil, plays and productions, cruise lines, various colleges, companies, and studios as teachers themselves. It is her passion to share her knowledge and many experiences with others who are excited about the art of dance.
